TGIF: A Toast to Motherhood
Cheers to our mothers, grandmothers, aunts and all those strong motherly influences on our lives. What we know about devotion, self sacrifice and earned wisdom comes from them - many in an era where it was more of a challenge to be independent at the same time as being a wife and mother. Mums are the ones who taught us about not mistaking kindness for weakness either in ourselves or others - and to be tough minded , but tender hearted - come to think of it, mothers should be in charge of the peace process! In fact, Mother’s Day started as an anti war movement early in the 20th Century.
So... , let’s celebrate mothers, with or without apple pie. Treasure all the hours to be spent this weekend with your mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt - life is short, appreciate them with their unique gifts and talents. Have fun and make memories this Mother’s Day weekend.
Only One Mother
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of birds in the sunny weather,
Hundreds of dewdrops to meet the dawn,
hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the wide world over.
If you have a story you would like to share about your mother, we’d like to read / hear about it. Head to the contest post (you'll see a collage of our photos) and comment beneath. The winner drawn will receive a $50 gift card to spend at Vivio Flowers, Clarke St. Port Moody. If you don't use Facebook and would still like to enter, please feel free to email us at email@example.com.
A big thank you to all the mothers with whom we have worked over the course of years as they move house - we appreciate your loyalty and we love partnering with you for your real estate transactions. Continuing in the tradition of trust and caring we’ll be very happy to chat real estate with you any time - it is a confusing market right now.
Know that the Generations Real Estate Partners will always have you covered regardless of real estate climate.
Have a great weekend remembering your Mum or spending time with her in the sunshine.
