Sheila Francis elected to board of Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation

Sheila Francis has been elected to a two year term at the Eagle Ridge Hospital Foundation which began in May of 2009. 

Says Sheila, "Any community is defined by its services - healthcare is the critical one. It is vital that we maintain the friendly, professional community atmosphere of Eagle Ridge while growing to become the full-service facility our growing Tri-Cities needs. We can all work and lobby to this end."

For the past four years, Sheila has served on the Real Estate Board for Burnaby, New West and the Tri-Cities.  She has a long history of community service.  Sheila is an active church and choir member at Coquitlam Presbyterian Church.  She served on the capital campaign committee for Crossroads Hospice and has been an active fund raiser in support of BC Children’s Hospital for the past 15 years.  Each Christmas, the CP Holiday Train makes the last stop on its cross-Canada journey at Sheila’s business location where she hosts in her parking lot the thousands who come to enjoy the entertainment.  Since its launch in 1999, the Holiday Train has raised tons of food and millions of dollars in support of the Canadian Association of Food Banks.  In her spare time, Sheila is a mother, grandmother, reader and gardner.
